MEMBERSHIP REPORT

We are so pleased to report that since July 1, the beginning of our club year, seven (7) new members have joined our club. That's a 37% increase in just 6 months. Thank you to all those who continue to invite their friends and family to learn more about Soroptimist and to become members.

We wish to welcome our newest member, Venita Goodrich, who joined at our December 9th meeting. Welcome Venita! Thank you, Elaine Turso, for inviting Venita to join us!

On December 9th, we also had the pleasure of inducting returning member, Sue Longstreth. Thank you, Mo Anduiza, for inviting Sue to rejoin us! Welcome back, Sue!

Plans are underway for our next recruiting event early in 2015. Until then, please continue to share Soroptimist with women you know who might welcome the opportunity to be involved with a group of women who are working to help other women and girls to be their best.

Our fundraising committee will be meeting on Tuesday, January 20 to brainstorm ways for us to raise funds for the remainder of the club year. We will be looking at past projects and are extremely open to and interested in new ideas. Please consider attending this meeting as we value and welcome your ideas and input. When? December Mission-in-Service a Huge Success!

Thank you members for all the gifts you so graciously donated to the women of the Elder and Adult Day Services Program in Bremerton. Center Director, Susie Harris-Roggeveen, and Activities Director, Jean Strickland (also a former SIGB member), were on hand on December 9th to accept all of the beautifully wrapped Christmas presents for their clients and spent some time sharing information about the center and services they provide. They very much appreciated your generosity. It was a great service project to close out 2014. Thank you so very much!
