Predator Drilling Inc. is committed to the protection of every worker within the company as well as those in partnership with our organization. Our culture is one that strives for Health and Safety Excellence and is a “Core Value” of our operations which act as a guide in protecting our employees, clients, property, the environment and the general public.
Predator Drilling Inc. is committed to providing and maintaining a working environment that exceeds industry health and safety standards as well as all legislative requirements.
We will continue the pursuit to minimalize/eliminate all potential hazards and strive for an improved and safer work environment, for all our workers, through:
1. Improved training to our workers and supervisors;
2. Continual review of all HSE processes;
3. Accountability at all levels of employment;
4. Auditing of the systems to ensure compliance and viability (within the Government of Alberta and Department of Labour);
5. Proper tracking and trending to minimize foreseeable hazards as well as identify unsafe behaviours;
6. In-depth cause analysis during investigations, with viable corrective actions;
7. Continued improvement of effective communication that is two way and honest.
Many of the successful programs implemented by Predator Drilling can be directly correlated to suggestions and ideas from our field workers and staff.
I. An example of a competency assurance program is the "Passport to Attacking Safety."
The objective of the “Passport to Attacking Safety” is a personal record book of the workers safety program activities as well as a competencies checklist. The workers contributions and accomplishments are recorded and reflect the commitment of the worker’s involvement to improve while ensuring they receive adequate training and observation by a mentor.
We at Predator believe that training is an essential element of the program and the “Passport to Attacking Safety” Handbook provides the worker an easily accessible way to track their progress and task skill proficiency.
II. An example of a program designed to identify potentially dangerous behaviours is the use of the "Pink Hard Hat" program and the "Behaviour Observation Card."
Predator exemplifies it’s commitment through continual and regular on site senior management presence and auditing.
