Job Title: DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) II

Hourly Range: $10.00-$12.00

Job Description:

This person shall serve as a primary direct care provider for clients within the day program and shall supervised clients under the overall supervision of Program Manager and Director.  This position shall supervise clients in the facility and in the community and shall implement day program activities as prescribed in posted schedule.  This is a supervisory position (i.e., "leadership" position with some authority to direct DSP I positions) which reports to Program Manager and/or to Program Director.

Job Qualifications:

It is peferred that candidate have at least three years experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities, job placement agencies or working training enviornment.  If no experience in the above field, must have at least three years work-related experience in some other field, or must have completed A.A. degree.  Must be team-oriented and be motivated.  Must have ability to represent the agency in the community thru- professional conduct and proactive community leadership (e.g., locating volunteer jobsites, and etc...) Must complete First Aid/CPR, physical exam, drug test, and CPI training within thirty days of hire.  Fingerprints must be cleared by the Department of Justice (DOJ) & Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) pursuant to CCL Regulations prior to working with clients.
