COMMUNITY  BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT

In the last serval years, consumers at PALS day program have been working hard to keep their community beautiful! Our first group of consumers wanted to particpate in helpping the community by cleaning up the streets.  So PALS went to the city of Downey to see what kind of services our consumers can provide in assisting with beautifying the city. The city of Downey needed volunteers to cleans abandoned areas and remove graffiti on walls from residential negihborhoods. PALS consumer haved removed over several hundred graffiti writings and have received awards from the City of Downey's "Keep Downey Beautiful" Program for all their hard work!  In addition, PALS consumers started a recycling program where they go door to door to pick up recyclable items on a weekly basis.
